Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare takes the tower defence series and turns it into a third-person shooter, which sounds like a strange fit and works far better than it should.

Teams of plants and zombies fight over objectives in bright, cartoonish maps, and each class plays genuinely differently - the Sunflower heals, the Chomper burrows and eats zombies whole. It is a shooter you can hand to a younger player without worrying about it.
