The Crew 2 is an open-world racer covering a compressed version of the entire United States, and its trick is that you can switch between a car, a boat and a plane mid-motion with a button press.

That sounds like a gimmick and mostly is, but it is a very entertaining one - dropping from a plane straight into a street race is worth the price of admission on its own. The map is enormous, and getting from coast to coast under your own power is a genuine undertaking.
