Destiny: The Taken King is the expansion that turned Destiny into the game people remembered it as. Oryx arrives to avenge his son, and the campaign that follows is the first time the series told a story with any real weight behind it.

It brought three new subclasses, the Dreadnaught as a raid and patrol space, and a complete overhaul of how gear progression worked. If you are coming to the original Destiny at all, this is the version worth having.
