FIFA 20 introduced VOLTA Football, a small-sided street mode that had not appeared in the series since the FIFA Street games, with three-a-side through five-a-side matches in walled urban courts and a short career of its own.

The eleven-a-side game was rebalanced under the banner of Football Intelligence, with more natural ball physics, better one-on-one situations against the keeper, and defending that asks you to hold position rather than constantly press.
