Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West follows Aloy west into territory nobody has mapped, chasing the cause of a blight that is killing everything it touches. The machines here are larger and stranger than anything in the first game, and several of them fight in ways that force you to change loadout entirely.

The world opened up considerably. There is underwater exploration, a glider for descending from height, and settlements with enough going on that the side quests are worth doing rather than clearing. Combat still rewards knowing which component to shoot off which machine.
