Bloodborne is FromSoftware at its most aggressive. There are no shields worth speaking of and no reason to play defensively - the rally system lets you win health back by counter-attacking immediately after taking a hit, so hesitation costs you more than recklessness.

Yharnam is the reason people are still talking about it a decade later. It starts as gothic horror, gradually stops being that, and the transition is handled without ever explaining itself. The trick weapons, each switching between two forms mid-combo, remain the best armoury the studio has designed.
