Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare moved the series into space, and whatever you think of that decision the campaign commits to it properly. You command a ship, choose which side missions to take, and fly a Jackal fighter in dogfights that transition from open space to atmosphere without a cut.

Zero-gravity firefights are the other addition, and they change the geometry of a shootout completely when there is no floor to take cover behind.
