For Honor is a melee combat game built around a directional guard system - you and your opponent each hold a stance on one of three sides, and every attack and block has to be aimed. It turns a duel into something closer to fencing than button-mashing.

Knights, vikings and samurai each have several distinct heroes, and the learning curve is steep but the ceiling is high. Duels are where it shines; the larger modes are enjoyable but messier.
