This is the 2016 Ratchet & Clank, a ground-up remake of the original PlayStation 2 game rebuilt alongside the film. It is the cleanest entry point to the series - it starts at the beginning, it looks superb, and it is short enough to finish.

The arsenal is what people come for, and it delivers: a gun that turns enemies into sheep, a disco ball that makes them dance, and the Groovitron remains funny every single time. Weapons level up with use, which quietly encourages you to rotate through all of them.
