Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the game Insomniac built to show what the PlayStation 5 could do that the previous console could not. Dimensional rifts tear open mid-combat and pull you into an entirely different world with no loading screen, and it happens often enough to become a mechanic rather than a trick.

Rivet, a Lombax from another dimension, shares the campaign with Ratchet, and the weapon set is as inventive as the series has ever been. The DualSense adaptive triggers get real use here, with several guns behaving differently depending on how far you pull the trigger.
