Ghost of Tsushima puts you on an island under Mongol invasion, playing a samurai who slowly stops fighting like one. Jin Sakai was raised on a code that says you announce yourself and face an enemy honourably, and the invasion makes that code a liability almost immediately.

The tension between the samurai Jin was trained to be and the Ghost he has to become runs through the combat as much as the story - stances and formal duels on one side, poison and night-time assassinations on the other. Tsushima is one of the better-looking open worlds of its generation, and it guides you with wind and wildlife instead of waypoints.
